Real Beer vs Mass Production - What’s actually inside your glass?

Real Beer vs Mass Production - What’s actually inside your glass? Ever wonder why some beers leave you feeling heavy and bloated, whilst other well crafted beers feel light, crisp and clean?  The secret isn’t just in the recipe, it’s actually the behind the scenes action that goes into making it.  When you crack open a beer, you’re either drinking a product made with patience, passion and raw ingredients, or an industrial beverage engineered for maximum shelf life. Let’s take a step back on the brewing industry and break down what really sets true craft beer apart from mass-produced liquid. The Ingredients: Pure Standards vs. Industrial Fillers Traditionally, beer requires only four fundamental ingredients: water , maltese barley , hops & yeast . In an independent brewery, these four ingredients are treated like gold. The malt provides natural sugars, rich colours and complex flavours, whilst the hops acts as a natural bitterness, creating herbal aromas and juicy citrus n...

Love on Tap - The White Waves White IPA Love Tale

Love on Tap-The White Waves White IPA Love Tale

Greetings, Lord Chambray enthusiasts!

This Valentine's Day Special, we're thrilled to share a heartwarming love tale that goes beyond the ordinary as we unravel the love story behind an extraordinary beer, its flavour profile, and the perfect chocolate pairings that make it an ideal companion for the season of love. Picture this: two beers coming together in a serendipitous dance, forming a brew that's nothing short of magical – our very own White Waves White IPA.

The Love Story of White Waves White IPA

In the heart of Lord Chambray Brewery, a love story began to unfold. Two distinct beers, each with its own character and allure, found themselves drawn together by fate. The result of this union was nothing short of enchanting – the birth of White Waves White IPA.

Beer Description: White Waves is our unique interpretation of a beer style that defies clear definition – a spiced Belgian wheat beer abundantly hopped. Imagine an intense aroma of hops, featuring Mandarina Bavaria, Mosaic, Citra, and Columbus varieties, reminiscent of citrus and pine notes. The dry hopping process infuses the beer with a burst of these fragrances, resulting in a tantalising blend of citrusy and fruity flavours. This symphony of hops is perfectly balanced by the addition of wheat, coriander, and bitter orange peel, following the original Belgian beer recipe. The Origin Story: White Waves White IPA was first kegged and exclusively available on tap. Its introduction to the world was nothing short of astonishing; this brew quickly became a favourite among our patrons. The name "White Waves" was chosen with intention, capturing the imagery of the sea's white waves breaking into the rocks and stirring the seawater. It perfectly mirrors the refreshing and invigorating experience that this White IPA brings to every sip.

Chocolate Pairings for the Season of Love Now, let's talk about the perfect companions for our White Waves White IPA – chocolates! Here are some delightful pairings to elevate your Love celebration:

Dark Chocolate Truffles: The rich, bittersweet notes of dark chocolate complement the intense hop flavours of White Waves, creating a harmonious blend that's both decadent and refreshing.

Orange-infused Chocolate Bars:
The citrusy undertones of our White IPA find a perfect partner in the zesty burst of orange-infused chocolate, creating a vibrant and uplifting pairing. Sea Salt Caramel Chocolate:

The contrast of sweet and salty in sea salt caramel chocolates enhances the complexity of White Waves, accentuating its fruity and spicy elements.

Milk Chocolate-Covered Strawberries: The creamy sweetness of milk chocolate complements the wheat and coriander notes, offering a delightful balance that dances on the taste buds.
