Meet the Team Behind Lord Chambray: The People Who Brew, Pour, and Enjoy the Magic

At Lord Chambray, beer isn’t just something we make, it’s something we live and breathe (sometimes literally, if you’ve ever walked into our brewery mid-brew day). Behind every crisp lager, hoppy IPA, and refreshing pale ale is a team of passionate beer lovers who keep things running, one pint at a time.

This month, we’re pulling back the curtain and introducing you to the faces behind your favourite Gozo craft beers. And because we’re all about good beer and good fun, we asked each team member to share their favourite Lord Chambray brew, and why they love it. Spoiler alert: picking just one was tough!

So, grab a cold one and get to know the Lord Chambray crew. 🍻

Agnes – Taproom Assistant

Favourite Beer: Red Dragon 🍓🐉

Agnes, our newest member of the team, is the friendly face behind the bar, always ready with a smile and an expert beer recommendation. Whether you're a seasoned craft beer drinker or just dipping your toes into the world of IPAs and sours, she’ll make sure you find your perfect match.

Manuela is someone who does a bit of everything—pours the beers, shares brewing knowledge, and ensures the taproom runs smoothly every step of the way. If you’ve ever had a great experience at our taproom (which, let’s be honest, is always), you probably have Manuela to thank. You’ll catch her behind the bar, on deliveries and behind the scenes: what does Manuela not do?

Slawek – Head Brewer

Favourite Beer: Golden Bay 🌅🍺

Our head brewer behind Lord Chambray’s bold and creative beers, Slawek is the guy making sure every batch is brewed to perfection. He’s part artist, part scientist, and fully dedicated to making sure every sip of Lord Chambray beer is top-notch. You might see him on a brewery tour, or generally around the brewery, especially if he’s running around working on the next brew.

Favourite Beer: Sylvia 🍊🍋

Dave is the right-hand man in the brewery, assisting in every step of the process, from mashing in to kegging and bottling. More often than not, you’ll catch him in the Taproom enjoying a pint of his hard work on his days off too: Dave is not only a great brewer, but an enthusiastic consumer too. If you’ve ever wondered how we keep up with demand, Dave’s hard work is a big reason why your favourite beers are always stocked and ready to pour.

Samuele – Founder & Owner

Favourite Beer: San Blas 🌊🍻

The visionary behind Lord Chambray, Samuele turned his passion for craft beer into Gozo and Malta’s first craft brewery. He’s always pushing the boundaries of what’s possible, whether that’s experimenting with new recipes, working with new collaborators, travelling the world to different beer competitions, or ensuring that every batch stays true to our commitment to quality.

The Lord Chambray Family: More Than Just Beer

Behind every great beer is an even greater team, and at Lord Chambray, we’re proud to be a family of beer lovers, brewers, and storytellers. Each pour in our taproom is a chance to share our passion, and we love bringing people together over a cold, refreshing craft beer.

Next time you visit us in Gozo, say hi to the team, ask them about their favourite brews, and let them guide you through the ultimate Lord Chambray experience. And if you can’t make it in person? Don’t worry—you can always grab your favourite Lord Chambray beers from our online shop and raise a toast from wherever you are.

Cheers to great beer and even better company! 🍻
